Important documentation, required on your first visit.
The law now requires solicitors, as well as banks, building societies, and others, to obtain satisfactory evidence of the identity of their clients. Please bring one item from list A and one from list B on your first visit. Our receptionist will photocopy the documents and return the originals to you. We can then certify the copies as being true copies.
Please provide one item from list A and one item from list B.
List A:
- A current, valid full passport.
- An employer’s identity card bearing a photograph and signature.
- A UK, full ‘photo-card’ driving licence.
- A valid HM Forces identity card with the signatory’s photograph.

List B:
- Bank, Building Society, Credit Card statement or passbook less than 3-months old and containing a current address.
- A UK, full ‘photo-card’ driving licence.
- Mortgage statement for the mortgage account and for the year just ended.
- A Utility bill (e.g. Gas, Water, Electricity) less than 3-months old.
- A Council Tax bill less than 3-months old..
- A National Insurance card showing the current address
- A Child Benefit book showing the current address.
