Residential Property Update
There has been a huge amount in the news lately about rising house prices and a mini-boom in the property market. Whilst we have always been able to hold our own in this area, our dedicated conveyancing team have noticed a definite surge in new transactions in our area, both for sales and purchases and for remortgages. We hope that this is a clear sign that the worst of times are over and investors and home owners can look forward to a rising market again.
Whilst we are a long way from the boom-times of the mid-noughties, it certainly seems to be the case that the increase in transactions has disclosed an absence of good property solicitors and support staff in many firms. Along with the changes in mortgage regulation, this has resulted in delays in conveyancing transactions. At Hartley & Worstenholme, we have been able to ride out the storm over the last few years, keeping and, indeed, continuing to build our strong team. We have recently welcomed Claire Ryder as a paralegal at our Pontefract Office and Karen Cookson and Jan Wood in a supporting administrative roles in both Pontefract and Castleford and continue to look for staff with solid skills to help us maintain our profile as a leader in our market.
We will continue to provide a swift, professional and friendly service based on our many years experience.
Existing and prospective clients are welcome to call or email if they have any questions about conveyancing or if they would like an estimate.
